Sway bar link question

07 f150 sway bar link question. What is the trick to installing it? It's a 4x4 truck and the a arm doesn't drop down far enough to fit the new link in. Do I gotta unhook the upper ball joint or unhook the other side to rock the sway bar up? Or is it something else? Thanks

Sway bar end links are easy unless you try to defeat the torsion of the bar like you're doing. If you raise the whole front end and let both wheels hang it seems like you could do the job. Yes, you may have to take the other link loose from the sway bar. You may have to play with the jack on one side to make the other side get into the right position to reattach the link. Just remember to never get under there without solid support, never just the jack, not even a floor jack. If the weight of the truck is on one wheel, you're not going to be able to move the sway bar on the other side by hand, and it could be dangerous with levers - like working with a coil spring under tension.

All fixed. You gotta have both tires off ground and unhook top of link on opposite side. Thanks again
