can anyone help me with this problem..i just replace my old 302 with a new jasper 302(this is a 90 f-150) well i got it all together and went to fire it up and it didnt start come to find out i wasnt getting any spark to the distributor so i replaced the coil and still dont have spark..i have power to the coil and coming out of the coil but no spark..can anyone help plz...what is the problem is there a ground that needs to be grounded i checked all the grounds and think that i have them all but im so confused on what it could be..and i check the wire harness and it is all pluged in. plz help
You should check for swithed power at the tach wire on the coil. If you have a tester (or rig up a 12v bulb), connect one side to ground and while someone is cranking on the engine, see if power is switching on and off at the tach lead.
If not, then definitely your ig module is faulty, or the wireing to/from it.
