Van rusted body at mount
Has anyone had the Van body rust out near the body mount located just under the drivers side floor mat. just about where the drivers left foot would rest.
Did you repair it? How? All the metal above the mount on my full size Van is gone and there is a hole in the floor. the box section of the body structure is completely gone for about 6 inches.

Yes, it happened to my '95. No, I never did anything about it. Wisconsin winters and northern "wash board" gravel roads got blamed for it. Looked like a difficult repair, aside from just covering the hole so you don't loose stuff. Let's hope no other mounts disappear.

cut mount out
Well I cut the rusted bolt with cutting torches and started the rubber isolator on fire. Had the fire extingisher ready before starting. Should have just used my sawzall, but it was at my other work place. planning to weld some angle iron pieces to span the missing body space. Apparent there is no one out there as crazy as me who has bothered with such a repair.
