I have a 1970 F250 Camper Special. I would like replace the stock lap belts with shoulder harnesses. There are holes (threaded, I think) with rubber plugs where shoulder harnesses would probably go. Does anyone know if shoulder harnesses from a newer model would fit?
Thanks-DG
P.S. This is my first posting so forgive any forum faux pas'.
I installed shoulder belts but didn't go the way that was described in the above threads. I bought some of the nicer retractable belts from JC Whitney, they're nice quality and weren't too expensive, and used all of the stock floor mounting positions. For the B-pillars I drilled the bosses for a 3/8" bolt and just used a regular nut with fender washer. It's a bit of a stretch to get your arm up through the B-pillar but it's do-able (except maybe for you really big fellows). I'm really happy with the result.
Thanks for the replys. There's another thread (seatbelts) that has most of the info I was looking for. Hope to get my gallery squared away soon. I'm new to all this so be patient.-DG
