Need help on this site
I joined this site to try to find a specific part. I have posted 6 posts so far, and yet I STILL cannot post that I am looking for a part. The site minimum is 5. I have posted an introduction, I have checked into the regional section. I have been perusing the tech articles. Why can I not post that I am looking for a part. I am not selling. Can someone tell me what I need to do to try to find the part? Otherwise I will just try to find another board to use.

Hi, Drama Water, it appears you have less than 5 posts. If you wish to sell something through our marketplace, you will need 5 posts to start a thread. You may, however, respond to existing threads.
I am a member of other boards.. and this may not be starting off on the right foot, but having to wait ten days when you are trying to FIND a part seems a little extreme. I am a user for need/share info or need parts But if those are the rules so be it

Actually not extreme at all...it used to be 25, the reason we do this is because of you.....well not exactly you but ...Registered Users 715,548
When it was none we received a ton of spammers in the classifieds so we needed to set a rule that would make most if not all the 715k user happy.
When you must wait to post ....we then know you are a real Ford Truck Enthusiast (like yourself) and don't mind the system protecting you and your favorite ford site FTE.....
We know that quality members will post up with great content not just thread "fillers"
when getting to the required number.

what part do you need?
if it is an engine part, go to that engine forum and post your request in the parts wanted thread on the top of the page.
likewise if it is a body part, got to the forum for the year truck you have and post in the parts wanted thread in that forum.
most of the forums have a free parts and parts wanted thread in them.
