Are a pair of loud fuel pumps telling you that they are ready to be changed? My old truck had one loud pump and one quiet one. The new truck has two loud ones, but they seem to be about the same. When you switch tanks you can hear it change from in the cab with the engine on. Just curious if it means anything, engine runs fine and has pleanty of power. I should probably check the pressure though.

My front pump is a whiner, but the back one is a little quieter. The front pump has always been noisy as long as I've owned the truck, got it in 95. I tend to use the front tank more because it the larger of the two. It's gotten a littler louder over the years, but I figure if it craps out, I'll be able to get home on the rear tank.
