I am currently looking for a reliable machine shop in the Dallas / Fort Worth area that can rebuild a 1969 351w or exchange it for a long block. Just looking for something I can drive long distances with some good low end torque and reasonable fuel economy. It will be sitting in front of an AOD for daily use.
I am not looking for a HI-PO engine or cheap slop shop and will pay the dollars for excellent work.
Thank you for taking the time to read and answer this in advance.
FYI, it took me a bit longer to get that engine up to Plano Automotive Machine but they're finishing up now. Basic short block build/balance on a 300 inline and I had their head guy clean up some porting work I did. They build a lot of race engines as well as other interesting things like old Pontiac and Olds V8s, Jeep inlines, and foreign four bangers.
Plano Automotive doesn't have a dyno so once I get the short block home and the engine assembled it's going to Wayne Calvert for break in and dyno testing. Since you're in FW they're probably closer for you and they do excellent work. Great reputation. It's just a bit more of a haul for me.

Thanks for the up date. Let me know how it turns out.
