I dont know what's wrong with my clutch. I didnt even notice it until the other day when I was driving to the beach. It might have started then but I doubt it. So I'm driving on the freeway, long ways, in 5th gear... dont have to switch or anything cause it's pretty late at night and not too much traffic. When I go to take my exit I hit the clutch and it like doesnt move. I had to like push it really really hard to disengage the gears so I could downshift. It almost felt like my friends 40lb clutch on his 3000GT... I dunno what is goin on. It only acts like that when I dont use it for a while. Such as going on the freeway for a long period of time. City driving it's fine because I gotta push it at all the stops and stuff. Anyone know what's goin on?
I haven't had that exact problem, but I did have a lot of trouble getting my truck in and out of gear, only when it was hot and had been running for a while. It turned out that the wrong type of fluid had been used to top up the transmission fluid. When the fluid heated up enough, some of it was turning to gas and that was my problem.
Since it had to be really warm o show any symptoms, it took quite a while to convince my mechanic that I wasn't crazy and there really was something wrong.
Hope this helps,
Inger
