Yup, sure is. He's quite a character. How do you know him?
Tom, bummer on creating a "toaster". Its pretty hard to get that smoke back into the wire.....lol
Bobby
My brother lives in Albuquerque and is also a woodworker. He did some work for Eye Associates. When I was visiting, Buddy wanted to meet me because my brother, Andy Moore, showed him pictures of the woodie that I built. We went to his house & shop and saw his really cool truck and other cars and talked woodwork and trucks/cars. He seemed to be a really good guy with a lot of talent.
Bobby, my wife and I will be doing a road trip this weekend. Not too far from you. Well, four hours. We're going to the early iron show in Alamosa, CO. 180 miles from home, all 65-75 mph roads. Last year we got over 17 mpg, but my motors alot smaller than your Caddy. Going to put the two car seats for the grand boys in the front seat with me, then my wife, son and daughter in law will hop in the bed for the cruise down town. It's kind of like a parade. We'll throw candy to the kids and honk the horn alot. My wife is a "WOOO!" girl, so there will be lots of screaming. Come on up!
Rusty, Bobby had mentioned to me that there will be a similar event in Aztec NM the following weekend, and he's going to that. I'd bet he's already on his way down to the Butte for the big weekend.
BTW, they've made it illegal to ride in the back of a truck (even for dogs) in NM. I wonder how that will work for parades?
It's illegal in California too (like most everything) but in the parades I've seen it's overlooked while on the parade route.
So....let me see if I have this right....in Colorado, you can ride in the back of a pickup, ride a motorcycle without a helmet, smoke pot, and legally drive 75 mph on the freeway (not necessarily in that order)
Topmoo,
Yup, thats him. He is a great guy. He does have a touch of ADHD with cars...LOL. He's got more projects that I can shake a stick at. Last year I was helping him transplant a 56 Packard dash into a 58 packard.
Very cool Bobby!! That's the way to take a road trip!! I really like the on the road driving pictures. Beautiful scenery! Be sure to take plenty of pics on your next trip!
Keith
P.S. We found the problem with my truck. It looks like the voltage reducer was bad.
Hey Keith ya haven't posted in your thread for a while. Drop in there and let us know how it's going and maybe when we can get a copy of your book Bud.
