Hey my truck stumbles really bad from about 600rpm to about 1000rpm only after it is warmed up and only starting from a stop. After 1000rpm it picks up and accelerates fine. My truck is an 86 F250 with a 460 4spd, new edelbrock carb, stock ignition with new cap, rotor, plugs, wires. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it very much. I have been playing with the carb but could this be an ignition problem? Maybe I am barking up the wrong tree. Thanks again for any help.

Do you have stock ignition? Check accelerator valve. Check timing. Retard advance and try again???. Accelarator valve is my guess. I have 460 too and seen this done this. Either to much or to little gas on accelatoration.
I have a 83 E350 4x4 with a 460, 4.10 gears, C6, NP205 transfer case. I installed an Edelbrock 1411 (750cfm with electric choke). The engine was completely stock and I experienced the same stumbling problem from idle up through about 1200 rpm or during a 1000 -1400 cruise level. I had to continue changing the metering rods and jets as listed in the manual to a richer condition until the stumbling went away. I ended up with 0.113 jets and 0.63x 0.37 rods. I installed an MSD6a ignition and MSD wires and cap, along with an open K&N Air filter and have advanced the initial timing to 16 degrees with no pinging. The van only stumbles slightly after sitting hot for a while and this goes away shortly (heat related). The plugs look good and the van has good power, tows my 3000lb boat well and acceptable milage(9.4). Good luck
