anyways truck started to studder like it wasnt getting any gas so I changed the fuel filter and dropped the freaking 44 gallon tank made sure it was clean inside, so I changed the fuel sock on the bottom of the fuel pump, so its new, inline fuel filter is new....
anyways more than likley it wasnt my fuel system that started this problem, so could that part on top of the motor leaking coolant cause loss of power, rough idle.....
its a PVC heat valve the one on the truck is made of real metal, the one I got is made of pot metal, and its been revised, new one didnt fit so started to tap it in and it crushed in on itself, so took the old one and had some water jb weld epoxy stuff and no leaks thus far,
If it starts to leak again will let the ford techs deal with it...
That's the pcv valve. It's got coolant running around it so it won't freeze. You can pull it out and the coolant lines easily pull off of the pcv valve. Valves are cheap to replace.
thanks az, the dealership here charges 60 bucks for the valve, n theres no way of putting it in with out tapping it in, and in the process is folds in itself, the old one is working good so far.

no, the newer Ex' use an electric heated PCV valve. Yours is not, it's the old style.
On mine it pulled right out, and I was able to pull off the cooling ring.
Couple dollar part.
Pushed right back in too.
no tapping required.
mine is also a 2000 v10 but I don't remember it sitting next to the throttle cables.... let me go take a look.
EDIT: ok, took a look. What you see is the hose coming FROM the pcv valve going into the head. I don't think there is a valve in there.
Follow the hose in the middle and you will end up at the pcv valve. The other 2 hoses are for coolant to prevent freezing.
