Well I finely took the top of took me 2 years to do it. Scared by my family always telling me it would leak but then I realized they never took their tops off so I went with the advice on this board, anyways when I put it back on I took the pressure washer to it for about ten minutes and no leaks. I’m a happy camper now.

Just as a note; my 78's top leaked before I took it off but not after. And it was off several times.

I want to take the top off mine, but it's too tall to fit in the garage and I don't want to come out each morning to wet seats from the dew. How do you all store your trucks at night when the tops are off?

I had a Wrangler for five years before getting my Bronco and I REALLY miss zooming around town with the top down.

greystreak,
where did you get the clear turn signal covers? I think they look real sharp and would love to get some for my bronco

Can't ever beat taking the top off - The day I got my 89 I went right home and ripped the top off - I've had it off a ton of times since and never had any kind of problem with leaking or anything of the sort - I should probably go put the rest of the bolts back in, but then i'll just take em back out tomorrow.....Yours looks real nice, keep it up

I take the top off my Bronco whenever it’s not raining. Mine is also to tall to fit in the garage, so I grab a friend to help me lift it off and set it on the garage floor. That’s the coolest part of the Bronco, V8 power with a convertible top! That was kind of the whole reason I bought the truck. The way things are today with all the safety and emissions laws they wont make anything like these trucks again. The only thing that is left now is the Jeep, and it has a small motor and even less legroom!

Thanks for the info. I did some searching on my own. Besides on ebay, you can find them on crutchfield.com. They sell the clear with two amber bulbs for $55.
