Well I finely took the top of took me 2 years to do it. Scared by my family always telling me it would leak but then I realized they never took their tops off so I went with the advice on this board, anyways when I put it back on I took the pressure washer to it for about ten minutes and no leaks. I’m a happy camper now.
that looks awesome!!!I just got my 95EB just like yours last week, took the top off on the second day and it hasn't been back on yet!!I'm not real concerned about leaking..it's just a toy after all(even tho I think it will be ok!)
Have had the top off my '92 more times than I care to try and count..never leaked once and thats with only four bolts back in to hold it down. (Pics in gallery)
I want to take the top off mine, but it's too tall to fit in the garage and I don't want to come out each morning to wet seats from the dew. How do you all store your trucks at night when the tops are off?
I had a Wrangler for five years before getting my Bronco and I REALLY miss zooming around town with the top down.
Can't ever beat taking the top off - The day I got my 89 I went right home and ripped the top off - I've had it off a ton of times since and never had any kind of problem with leaking or anything of the sort - I should probably go put the rest of the bolts back in, but then i'll just take em back out tomorrow.....Yours looks real nice, keep it up
I take the top off my Bronco whenever it’s not raining. Mine is also to tall to fit in the garage, so I grab a friend to help me lift it off and set it on the garage floor. That’s the coolest part of the Bronco, V8 power with a convertible top! That was kind of the whole reason I bought the truck. The way things are today with all the safety and emissions laws they wont make anything like these trucks again. The only thing that is left now is the Jeep, and it has a small motor and even less legroom!
I wanted a convertible when I traded in my 96 4.0 Splash and the little woman wanted a 4x.....so we got both!!The top came off about 3 days after I got it and hasn't been back on!!(here's mine)
Thanks for the info. I did some searching on my own. Besides on ebay, you can find them on crutchfield.com. They sell the clear with two amber bulbs for $55.
