79 F-150 with a 351W. I am planning on getting it to pass DEQ and then cutting the exhaust off right under the cab and make stacks up through the bed. Whar do you think? With out any mufflers will it have enough backpressure?
Thanks,
Lars
the truth is, you dont want or need any backpressure at all..
BUT
you do want a high exhaust velocity. some people mix the 2, say you want to get a new exhaust, well, if you use too big of a pipe, you may get less backpressure, but you also get a lower exhaust velocity, thats why you want to find a good size piping where backpressure is low and exhaust velocity is high.
