I know this is probably a stupid question but should I be driving with my transfer case in neutral? Or 2 high? I have a 93 f250 regular cab automatic with windsor. Thanks
Thanks for the quick reply! That's the thing though I've been driving it since February with the t-case in neutral and when I started seeing that the truck isn't supposed to move in neutral I got really confused

It can't move in neutral Dude. At all. Ya got the linkage messed up, The wrong shift **** or something. I bet if ya move the shifter ya will truly find neutral.
Either that or yer trolling and messing with us Bud.
Ya may be driving around in low range and don't even know it.

Have ya ever had a 4X4 truck before?
Oh let him drive around in neutral. maybe the truck isn't in neutral but he is.LOL
2 High,, if you put it in neutral you ain't goin' nowhere!!!!!
I had a shop put a new transmission with a shift kit in my old Blazer with 38's when the TH350 died. I picked it up and drove away and thought holy $#1T this truck has *****! Turns out they had it in 4Low and I didn't see it until I was a few hundred feet down the road!
Lol... maybe you should park your truck somewhere and practice using the transfer case shifter to get a feel for it. There's 2 lights on the dash to help you out.
You said automatic so unless you're one of the few automatic owners like me that actually use the parking brake when parked, if your t-case was in neutral your truck would've probably rolled away by now. Not to mention it wouldn't move under it's own power anyway.
To be honest I found out I wasn't using my head lol. I never really thought about it and put 2 and 2 together. I pull the shifter towards me to engage 4x4 and always assumed it was 4 low. But I know better now hahah thanks anyways
Good that nothing was messed up sept your head Dave.
Gal walked into my shop one day and said
"My truck just quit going and I think the transmission is out".
When I got there there was still two very large gals in it.
The one in the middle had bumped the transfer just enough to make neutral
but not kick any 4X lights on.
Stuff like this happens. Thanks for the laugh and taking it so well.
You will do just fine here at FTE.
