1994 F150 starting problem
I have a 1994 F150 supercab 4x4 with 140000 miles on it. For the past several months when cold starting the engine will either idle very rough and almost die out, or it dies out completely. The truck is very well maintained. I've had it in the shop several times and they can't figure out what's causing the problem. Any Idea's?

I spoke with my mechanic over the weekend and he said they did clean the idle air bypass valve. But as far as it working or not he says that there is no error code for the 94 F150 for that valve. He says the part cost about $150.00 and doesn't want to have me spend the money unless he is sure thats causing it. Is there any way to test it to see if its operating or not? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Don
