Anyone know where I can find a discontinued part other than a junk yard? My dealer did a dealer search and no one has it. National warehouse shows 29 in stock but he said he can't order it for some reason. Tousley said they can't get it. It's part number YC3Z14305AA. Any help would be great!!! Tks!!

Alternator wiring assembly. It's the harness that goes from back of alternator to relay on sidewall behind the battery. It also has a few a/c connections on it also.
Going to have to remove it and build a new one from scratch it looks like. Have any pics of it or an extra bad one? I might be able to build you a new one if it's not to odd.
Even though being in stock somewhere, it's not unusual that you can't order or buy one. Ford is holding them back for the owner(s) that might need the part and still has an extended warranty on an Excursion offered through Ford Motor Company. For example, if somebody bought a 2005 Excursion in 2009, along with a 5 year extended warranty through Ford Motor Company, this 2005 still has warranty and parts have to be available for repairs.
As of now I believe I'm ok. I've put heat shrink on the bare spot and my one a/c connector splice is holding. I might look at junk yards for a gently used one. Prefer new but want a backup.
I'm sure you Googled it. This came up available in a quick search. At least it shows available before you put it in your cart and all that. But it appears to be available.

On what part of the harness is it bare? If it is near the alt. connecting point, my tech. just cut it about 6" back and made a good splicing of a # 6.0 cable & connector to the alt. terminal screw. heat shrinked it and looked very professional. Good Hunting

Yep right at the alt terminal. Only about 3in was exposed. I put 2 layers of heat shrink in it. Hope this new lead finds me one.
