Saturday I became the proud owner of my 65 F100 with absolutely no rust on it. Part of the reason I bought it was stance. That being said, the guy that owned it lowered it by removing all but one of the rear spring leaves and cutting the coils in front so that the truck is resting on the snubbers (it rides amazingly well considering) which I know is NOT at all safe. I'm considering putting the drop beams on it along with new rear springs and flipped hangers. Anyone aware of someone installing air bags on all corners to keep the stance as low as possible? I was hoping not to have to cut it up just yet.
SlamAir can help you out with a low or high level stance, BUT, the only way to keep the correct (and safe) geometry up front and still lower it, you need to use the proper spindle arms/neck. They replace the stock ones. In fact, if you set them side by side, the only difference you will see is the neck it taller then the factory one, which sets the tire higher up, which lower the truck. You need to make a couple other mods to make them fit, but not a big deal.
I use the taller necks which lowers mine 3" and I use lowering leaf hangers in the rear with 2,500 lb SlamAir bags in the back in case I actually want to carry something. I use a 'new' factory spec 950 lb set if rear leaf springs, which give it a GREAT ride. There is a place close to me that builds leaf and coil springs to factory specs. I'm sure you could find a place close to you.
Have fun with your build.

Thanks! Where did you get your spindles? Maybe I googled it wrong but couldn't find any.
The company I got them from, is no longer in business. I installed mine over 20 yrs ago. You might try 'search' on this web site. There has been a lot of talk about them and I think someone posted info on a new company building them. Wish I could help you better but I think if you check around, you'll find some info.
Thanks 37, good man, that's exactly what I meant. Just been a long time. I have the old paper work for mine and looked it up for some one a while back but found they were out of business. (
That looks like they offer the front and back. Cool.
