I have a 2008 Ford E350 van. At highway speed the hood sometimes lifts up. Its latched and it catches, but it has play on both ends above the headlights. I've looked and can't find anything obvious that's wrong.
There are rubber bumpers for the side to side adjustments and lock tightness, but there's a big difference in a (lifting hood) and one that just (flutters) a little at speed. If your not sure about it find a local Body Shop and have them check it out before something bad happens............
Good advice from EManor---check and/or adjust the bumpers to eliminate that annoying bounc.
Does this possibly resemble the cable-operated latch releasing and only the secondary safety catch is keeping the hood in place? Or just the fluttering as you describe?

Its only fluttering and its not the cable operated latch. Air is getting under left and right end part of hood and lifting intermidently at hwy speed. I will work on the rubber bumpers for side to side movement and see what happens. I have a manual for 2005 E350 and will ck out where these bumbers are. Not dure exactly where they are located. Thanks.
