made some good progress today, got up at 3 am for work, then went straight over to my uncles to work on the truck around 8. we started by getting the bed off, then dropped the spare tire, trailer hitch and bumper, then the gas tank and exhaust, then took the hood and core support off, and got the motor un connected to the cab but ran out of energy there. still have the clutch master cylinder, parking brake, shifter boots and steering linkage.
so depending on weather the cab may come off tomorrow

made more progress today, had to unbolt the steering column bracket and clamp to get to one of the clutch slave nuts on the firewall. then took the trans access plate off, parking brake cable and speedo cable. then got the cab up and off. then dropped the saddle tank, drive shafts, steps and ladder bar frame brackets, i think thats it
tomorrow plan on pulling the motor trans and transfer case as a unit and maybe some other little stuff, first day of automotive school tomorrow.
plans to get the frame suspension and axles to the sandblaster by saturday
things are going smoothly
also we decided on keeping the 351 in it just going to get rid of all the emission stuff and wiring and going to msd ignition and all that stuff which im glad, not a fan of the emission crap on these motors

got the power train pulled tonight, also removed the rear shocks and the ladder bars.
we have found that all 4 cab mount brackets, well two fronts are brackets the rear is a crossmember, are rotted out along with the core support mounts.
so tomorrow im gonna remove the two front cab ones, the crossmember the rear of the cab sits on, the core support ones
we are gonna take the cab mount brackets and the crossmember from the donor truck because it is super clean.
also will probably remove the front shocks and maybe rear helpers tomorrow too, plannin on starting on it when i get off work around 8 am so we will see how long i last

well today got the body, core brackets off and the crossmember. also took the trans crossmember out, got the bolts to come off on the tops of the front shocks, took steering stabilizer off too, really dont remember what else.
then pressure washed it, all thats left is to get the frame off the springs and axles, remove the harness, brake and fuel lines and the PS box then its ready for sandblaster
