Would seem to work well when empty but if your heavy I would be concerned with overloading that bracket. Beauty thru simplicity. I know Clay was very impressed with these.

I had a set on my OBS. Loved em. Couldn't find any to fit the 550 when I bought it. Several companies have marketed them over the years.
