The mags are published by Source Interlink Media, the largest enthusiast magazine publisher, the publish almost all the enthusiast mags on the market. They really don't care what the readers think as long as the advertisers keep buying space in the magazines. I recently got offers for subs to several of their magazines for 5.95 for a 3 year subscription. The editorial space is offered to advertisers as part of advertising packages. Encourages the advertisers to buy more/longer term contracts and makes the magazine cheaper to produce, they don't need to pay reporters, photographers to produce original articles, the editor just adjusts what the advertiser provides for space and adds his byline to the article. Go thru the mag and see how many how-to articles are "written" by the editor. Do you really believe he goes out and writes/photographs all those articles while editing the entire magazine?
