Vibration!

I am harboring a severe dislike of my PSD right now....and I hope somebody has had the same dislike! Here it is. About a month ago, when I cranked up...basically a cold engine, I felt/heard a resonant vibration...you know, kind of like an exhaust pipe rattle/vibration, but after a few seconds it disappeared. Now it does it at idle ALL the time. It does not matter if you are in gear or neutral. I had the truck on the lift at work yesterday and checked everything I could see for looseness. I found nothing obvious. The only thing I did notice was when it is running the only sound I could hear was when I stood around the muffler/tail pipe. A guy I work with said "That's what you get for installing that tuner thing". I said 'yer crazy. He told me it could be the torque converter heading south, or the harmonic balancer coming lose. I give him some credit, though, because he has owned probably 20 or so PSD's. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to look for? Or should I just get used to it and wait 'till it breaks? Is it possible something internal in the muffler has broken?????? I just don't know.

This is a SWAG, but did you check the heat shield? It's above the exhaust pipe right after the downpipe makes the turn aft. If it's gotten loose, or if the exhaust pipe were touching it, it would rattle like crazy.

If it sounds like a bunch of marbles in a coffee can it is the torque convertor.

Already checked that. That too was my first thought. All exhaust and components are tight.
