Ok, I just picked up an air tank for my truck, as I been wanting to mount air horns on my truck, nothing to fancy just a bit louder for highway use, nothing more, but I want to find a good continuous duty compressor, that can do at least 200psi (don't worry I got a safety valve that will blow off at 170psi, but I may bump it down to 150 for safety) but I can't seem to find just the compressor, I find every type of kit with all items including the tank which I have already, does anyone have any recommendation as to where to look? I already checked jcwhittney, and came up with nothing also I know some of the connector fittings sizes, will that also have any factor on the compressor or any thing? I'm just looking to run air horns, and the occasional air tool(a) as needed possibly use to fill tires up if ever needed.
The Endless Air systems are indeed very cool---have contacted them for my application. Being so far apart might make purchasing from them a bit of a challenge though.
Well the 15 gal tank is going to primarily run air horns but also in the event of a flat tire I want it to be able to fill the tire back up once plugged up or what ever so I am trying to make the truck a self contained unit as far as the air system, so if its a bit more then needed I'm cool with it, the air inlet I am going to use from compressor to tank looks to be 1/2" not entirely sure yet.

Well the endless air looks to be the best unit for my needs, however it's only rated up to approximately 150psi and I'm looking for about 180 to 190psi (closer to 180) and I want to make sure it will be able to mount in my truck, but they don't appear to make anything for older model ford trucks... but if you could help me with aquireing the proper parts and items and info Brian ease do!
Also if needed I can provide the tank specs/connector sizes if that will help any

Jaime,
I had a look at EndlessAir Compressor
and they claim the compressors are capable of 200psi.
As for mounting kits I expect that the main variation would be
the engine.
What is the engine in your truck?
You may need to use one of their universal mounting kits and apply
a bit of DIY engineering.

If I can be of any assistance let me know.
Well Brian a good idea is still good no matter where it originates!
The compact size of the endless air compressor is its biggest allure honestly. Given its potential use in my E250 where space is a premium this might be a worthwhile project.
The VMAC stuff is great but they're not interested in adapting their products to the vans, claiming there's no market for it etc etc. I believe there are enough potentially interested van owners who'd love to have such a system available.
I've sent one email to Endless Air but so far they're not (yet) replied. I'll try once again and if not I'll contact you Brian about it all.
