G'day from Australia

Hey guys,
New member from Australia here. Just bought myself a '79 F350 as a new work ute so am in the process of getting it ready for roadworthy. This is the newest car I've owned, so the emissions stuff is new to me. Hopefully I'll be able to figure it out thanks to you guys.

See you around the site,
Mike

A 79 is the newest car you've owned? What's the oldest?

Welcome to the Forums, have a great time!

Hi to you Mike too!
There isn`t a lot of emissions equipment on these old Ford trucks to worry about, check the knowledgeable folks in the 1973 - 1979 F-100 & Larger F-Series Trucks forum: 1973 - 1979 F-100 & Larger F-Series Trucks - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys.

@GruesomeJeans, the oldest one is a 1951 Prefect (English built Ford), but I'm looking at getting a 1923 Model T

I see, you must like your classics! That's great. I got another question, what kind of emissions standards do you have to put up with down there?

Yeah mate, sure do! My daily is a 1968 Ford XT Falcon ute (its an Australian model, so I won't blame you for not knowing what it is, haha.)

Not really sure what the go is with emissions to be honest. I think its just a carbon canister setup.
But the previous owner put a Holley on it and butchered all the hoses, so its just a matter of figuring out where all the vacuum hoses go. Hopefully!
