hood stuck
Does anyone know anything about getting a hood unstuck from a '94 explorer xlt? It has been sitting for about 3 years, and the hood release under the steering wheel no longer works. I feels "loose" is the best way I can describe it--like it doesn't actually start to pull until it's almost all the way out. The hood's remaining flush with the body, and no amount of pushing, pulling, tugging, or jostling will get it loose, even when one person's inside pulling the hood release and another is outside pulling on it.

I have had this happen on a couple of rigs. You have to reach in through the grill and try and find where the release cable connects. feel if the cable is pulling the lever or not. if not you have to try and get something in there to pull the lever to release the hood lock and it should pop up. a word of advise, BE PATIENCE!! Good luck.
some tools that maybe needed: mirror, flashlight, screw driver, wire, and anything else that might work(improvise).
