Cherry Bombs vs Flowmasters

What's gonna be louder but still have a nice rumble, Cherry Bombs or Flowmaster 40s?

Depends on engine, size of pipe and how much tail pipe after the muffler. I have cherry bombs on my flattie with no tail pipes.....really not loud at all. On another OT car with SBC, I have Flow masters with a 3' tail....very loud. It just depends..

The glass-packs will get louder over time as the glass breaks down and blows out. It takes quite a while. I have glass packs in mine with a 351w, but then the tail pipes go all the way to the back bumper. My 52 is quieter than my OT 95 pickup with a flowmaster. Since I'm in California, I had to use a CARB approved single flowmaster which has two pipes in, and one out. It basically matches the OEM single exhaust in order to meet smog requirements. Not that two into one improves emissions, but it matches the OE which is how the truck was certified.

I went with glass-packs on the 52 because of the room...they helped me keep the hot exhaust parts away from everything (especially the bed wood).
