Ok I can't get the bushing out of the frame for the front leaves, and I also can't get out or know how to put the new bushings in the frame and the leaf packs? Anyone have any sugestions on the easiest way to do this?
After looking at some of your other posts I will assume the 59 f100? Which did not have metal sleeves in the frame just rubber bushings. Its possible that in the past there was damage that was repaired with a metal sleeve. Because the rubber bushings suck and wear out pretty quick. Unless the sleeves you have in there are also worn, I would leave them and just replace the rubber bushings. For the spring eyes sleeve I would drive it out with a drift. To replace it put the new sleeve in the freezer then warm the spring eye and press the sleeve in with a press or use a piece of all thread and large washers to draw it in.
Hope thats all clear as mud?
Good luck with your quest.

Go to harbor freight and get an air chisel for about $15.00. you will have to improvise on the "driver" but an air chisel is the only way to knock out those bushings

You have a 1959 F250 4WD
How many rubber only bushings do you see in these 1957/60 F100/250 2WD parts catalog pics? I only see 4 and only on the front springs: 2 for the shackles .. 2 for the springs.

Your right Bill, I assumed he was talking about the front of the front spring because he was trying to remove it from the frame and that is the only one to pass through the frame
Man I like the way you post pictures of the pages from your catalog. Whats your trick?
