Yet another spline count thread!

Well after 292,000 miles my OEM steering box has had enough. After reading the numerous threads about the output shaft shearing off and being in the rust belt, its time but more for paranoia and safety sake. I am unable to count the splines on the shaft because well everything is rusted!

I am not even going to attempt to remove the Pittman arm so I will be getting a new one. Does anyone know what the spline count would be? I hate to start yet another thread about this but I tried searching first!

If you're ordering from Redhead, just call them with the truck details. For the 2000s, I believe that the 4wd gas was 36 spline and the 2wd gas was 32 spline. Not sure what a 2wd diesel is.
