Drop Beams ????
Interested in getting some drop beams for my '81 stepside. Chassis tech seems to be the only supplier I can locate that offers drop beams for the '80-'82 f-100's.
and they require you to change to ball joints, getting rid of the king pins.
My ? is, I would imagine that the spindles will not work once I change over to the ball joints, I was looking at some of the parts stores online and cannot find any spindles for these years of the f-100's.
Will I have to procure used parts or is there a place to get new?

You need to go to the junkyard and get both front axles from a later f150 truck with balljoints. If you have the 5 lug car pattern wheels, these later axles will have the 5 on 5.5 truck pattern, and then your wheels won't fit and the rearend will have a different pattern unless you change it out too. Lots of opportunity here to change the truck around if you have certain goals though. Lots of problems if you already have the wheels you want to use.
Someone also mentioned that the people that make the dream beams were tooling up to make dropped beams for the early f100's, possibly coming out in the next couple of months. You might want to call them to verify this.
