I am planning to change the front bearings on my 1995 Ford F250 4by4 and am wondering if there is any thing i should know about changing them????, any special tools that i might need????? Should i change the inner and outer bearing??? Thanks for your help!
You will need a bearing retainer nut socket. Manual locking hubs use one kind of nut, and auto locking hubs use a different nut. Requires different sockets. You can rent them at parts stores that have tool rental. Change both inner and outer bearings and races, and also the seal in the back of the hub.
You might as well change the spindal bearings while your in there too. Also check your u joints. Bill turned me on to a good site that has spicer brand parts. Its called drivetrainamerica.com
I also have a problem with the truck starting some times! The first time when i start it in the morning it often sounds like the batteries are week and a few times it doesn't start at all! it is usually on cooler mornings that it doesn't start like 60 degrees! The batteries are just dead the when i try to start it but then the rest of the day it is usually fine! I didn't know if it would have any thing to do with the gp or gp relay or if it is just bad batteries!

It could be a combination of both.
You can use a multimeter to ohm the GPs and the check the voltage across the terminals on the GPR.
Here is a good read found in our sticky section: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/4...ke-thread.html
However, your GPs and GPR could all be good and still have a hard time starting because it takes good batteries to make em work.
