Next I plan on finding a way to cover those gaps where you can see through above my tires
Im in kind of a predicement with that. I straight up dont have money for new wheels and tires, even though I want them. I wont any time soon either (im in college, so money is tight. I only did the V/B code because of steering wander and I tow so I needed it)
Well, I had to get new back tires about 3 months ago desperately. The fronts now need new tires. I would get 4 new bigger tires for my stock wheels, but, the back are only 3 months old.
Discount tire. Not because of the price (though they are usually pretty good) but because there is a location nearby everywhere I normally travel, free flat repair and rotation, and I have never had a problem with warranty claims. Also while they may grumble about experimenting with larger than stock tires I have never had them refuse to do it.
About 1/3 of the counter employees are less than knowledgeable about their products but if you ask to speak with an expert I have always found at least one person who knows what they are talking about. Pretty good for retail IMO.
Until about 10 years ago I used to go to Sam's but ran into too many problems.
And NEVER pay full price for the warranty they offer. They are always willing to haggle on it, either by reducing the price or doing the mount and balance for free.
285/75/16 looks like a very popular size so many options on brand and such. I dont see as much 305/75/16. If I can find the 305's is it worth getting those instead and they wont rub?
Any brands yall reccomend? Im getting all terrain tires
I think I might try to sell the tires I bought a few months ago and get a set of 285/75/16. I might shop used. For my expedition I had a long time ago I just bought another $35-$50 tire everytime one went bad. Lot cheaper than spending 1000$ for 4 new tires. Most of these places mount it too for free since they are desperate for business unlike discounttire.
