Ok that is good news. We are getting hammered with rain here this morning. Maybe it will fizzle out before it get to your area. I heard Nashville got some flooding this morning.

GREAT news about the truck, Theo! Hopefully your land situation will work out as smoothly.

It rained like crazy yesterday afternoon....I saw a bunch of downed trees on the way home and again coming in to work this AM. Guess I won't need to water the garden for a couple days AND my rain barrels runneth over.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday, and stays dry.

Tomorrow, I start my new position at work....should be an interesting adventure.

New positions are a mixed blessing.. I have had a few I would far rather not have had.. Hopefully yours will be positive. I have the property for sale - it is all I can do - a lawyer is looking if we have any actionable issues - he does not think so, as we bought the place unseen - we were the suckers and stupid with it.. It will eventually sell, we will lose money on it, The house in Washington is also for sale - I cannot go back as there are health issues in the area that were effecting my health, so it will have to sell. This makes me somewhat homeless, but fortunately this Camper is comfortable. It is only 25 feet of living space, in the 35ft length of the beast, but it is comfy enough. We have a dining table with two chairs, a couch that turns into a bed, a good kitchen and a decent bed.. The bathroom is larger than most RV ones, but we have the shower loaded with tons of stuff, as are all the cupboards, half of the couch, all the lockers and the end of the bed.. That makes it a bit cramped - usually when just camping, there is a lot of room, but without a base we have to carry all with us.

I finally have enough parts to get the brakes fixed on Grace. And the new starter push button came today also. So I am pretty stoked. I have not got to drive her yet, but it is getting closer. I hope you all have a great Friday.

Thanks for all the encouragement. guys! As of today, I am a lieutenant over Operational Support (4 Divisions in the department). Got to hit the ground running, as there are budget issues, hiring freezes and empty positions causing scheduling disgruntlement. Who says it's lonely at the top?

That really is a nice looking rig, Theo. Glad you got that part of your woes worked out. Now, you just need to sell some land & houses. The market seems to be looking up for buyers....maybe things will work out soon. Remember, everything happens for a reason. Karma is a --tch....those who produce a lot of bad will reap their just reward, as it were. Hang in there, and let us know what you need----this is a good group of generous people.

Tnguynaford----can't wait to see your truck at a future get together. Good luck on the repairs.

And Neal, good luck on your application. Hope you get the spot you want.

Everyone, have a GREAT Friday and an even better weekend!

The office needs a bit of personalization, but its a nice room. I have no complaints....
