Well for the last week almost Ive been sandblasting whole truck. Meanwhile wondering what im going to do for a paintjob.
I can do it myself, i got a gun and compressor and whatnot, but my buddie I work with just gave his j**p a 'job , he went with the black rockguard (tremclad, i think) and had his bumpers painted aluminum. It looks pretty sweet. As well its not easy to scracth it (if thats what worries you).
So im thinking of doing that, but in a diff colour.
What do ya'll think, or anybody you know done it and how does it look??
cheers
I guess my truck won't be so unique after all! I plan on having my done within 1-2 months, although with a different product. You can find photos of vehicles that have been given this treatment online. IF I remember correctly Duplicolor has a few photos at their site, however a few beers have passed through me since I last looked. At least mine will be unique to my area! Let me know if you get yours done first, and I'll do likewise. Feel free to contact me.
cool man,
we in different countries anyway, Yeah im gonna be doing it within a month at the most id say, ive got a few more ideas for graphics im tinker'n with. Ive still got 1/3 to sandblast still.
Ill tell ya when ive finished.
cheers
I saw an old VW pickup truck just yesterday with a grey/silver coat of that bed liner stuff all over the truck. It was an interesting effect. I would guess it would be real durable. Of course if you enjoy waxing your truck and a shiney finish, this ain't for you.
Well, Im about half done the bed liner paint job...in color BLACK.
It looks good so far, except the fact I painted the doors and fenders, then went to work..got in water balloon battle, and 2 chicks ended up coating my truck in silly string.... so i had to sand down the crap I could scrape off. I will get her back.haha
(any ideas??)
Anyway, I can only mix a little at a time because it hardens in like 20 mins, then i need a new roller, and mix another little batch.
I think once ive got it all coated and been dried and what not, im going to air gun it Im thinking a dark metalic blue. Thats what i would like, How would that go over the black??
Going to go finish the rest pretty quick here,
cheers
