I know, I know..... I fell victim to the infomerrical. Now I will start by saying I did not buy it from tv but got it at Wally World yesterday.
I was trying to find so info on whether it worked or not and there wasn't really a lot out there.
I got home this morning and wiped down all the plastic I was going to treat with degreaser like it said in the instructions. I followed the instructions to a "T" as there was a bunch of warnings on there that said don't get it on the paint.
It was $20 for a 1.5 oz bottle and some small rags to put it on with. I thought there is no way that this is going to do my whole truck, but to be honest I wiped down almost all the places twice and still have a good amount left. Suprised me a little....
Now of course it looks fantastic now, heck its only been on a few hours but I will keep this post updated to track the longevity of it. I'm positive it will not last years like the bottle says but if I get 6 good months out of it with no streaking down the truck like other trim brighteners and then have to reapply it I will call it a success.
I been wondering if this is some sort of light "clear coat "or some sort of auto paint derivitive . The commercial does show person wearing gloves for application that would exemplify some sort of laquer adhesion. In the past i 've used some light machine oil and it lasts about 6 months.
is this the new version of armour all? a few of my vdubs need some tlc on their plastic trim. i have soo many bottles of plastic cleaner/restorer-that only work at attracting dust. i've almost given up on the running boards on "fat a$$" (my dually). now, i have renewed interest.
After putting it on this morning, it is dry and the black looks rich again. It is dry, not greasy to the touch so I'm going to say its not going to hold dust and dirt like Armor All will...
By the way, did you know there is a tiny man trapped inside one of your driving lights?
Yeah that was an option on the late 02's. It's a take off of the BMW's headlights turning when you turn the wheel. That not so little fella just aims them for you!
I don't know whats in it but from the smell alone, I used gloves!
Joey,
No problems with streaking in the paint like Trim Shine or Armor All after it rains?
not at all.. I also wore gloves. I believe it does say not to touch for 24 hours.
Also did the interior with it. also, after following instructions,I wiped everything down with rubbing alcohol before using Wipe New.
