Wiring Harness
'84 B2, 4x4, auto, use to have AC.
I'm looking for a new wiring harness. I only need the section under the hood. Most of the wiring there is shot. I've taped up all that I could but the insulation is brittal and will easily come off. By the looks of it, the harness for under the hood goes through the firewall and plugs into the fuse box.
Any help would be appreciated.

I know the problem you are talking about. I think it might be cheaper getting one from a vehicle in non-rust belt state, though they usually do not want to pull a harness in a junk yard.
That being said, if you do not have strict smog laws in Ohio AND have to rewire it I would consider doing a Duraspark conversion since your A/C does not work anyway. Most of that wiring is for the emissions, CPU, TFI, sensors, and vacuum stuff.
If you put in a new Painless Wiring fuse box for $150 you should be down to about twenty wires, including all the power windows, locks, and stuff.
Myself, I would search the various sites for someone parting out a vehicle and try to get a harness for $50 in good shape.
