Hey everyone I got a problem with my front tank that's got me a little confused. When have the truck off and on the front tank the gauge will go up to the amount of gas in the tank. Once I turn the key on the gauge drops to empty. If I'm on the rear it'll show how much is in it when it's on and go to empty when it's off like normal. At first I was thinking its a problem with the sending unit but the fact that when the trucks off it'll show how much is in the tank and when on it goes to E I was thinking maybe there are wires backwards somehow? I thought I'd ask first before I just dug into this problem.

The front sending unit is not getting grounded correctly. Could be a bad ground wire, either externally or internally.

Thanks I'm gonna be taking the bed off to figure this out because I'm going to paint the truck black and want to get between the cab and the bed and what better time than when it's off to check this out.
