Is the tin nut on the ipr? Doesnt that cause long cranking?
I can check that as well. Don’t think it’s the issue but I will absolutely check to see. Wow would that be a nice surprise if that was all it was.
Wouldn’t that cause issues when hot though? I have rebuilt a couple of them now but never because it was causing a problem, simply since I had to remove the HPOP and figured I’d do so while in there.
Voltage at the battery was 12.78 and held constant, flipping the Gps on we dropped to 11.95 during cranking but it cranks stings and fast.
Al Gp tested out perfect...except for one which I couldn't get any reading on... pins were fine, but I will pop the cover and see if I accidently forgot to push the cap down tight when I put them in 9 months ago.... That weirded me out a bit but should not be causing this issue on a hot day.
GP relay tested perfect Vin = Vout on the other side
Fuel fressure is 55PSI at idle...
I did not get to the tin nut but will try next time a get a few minutes.
Here are two more things I will add. I waited till mid day today when it was 85 out to attempt it... still the same thing. Was parked last night never ran till noon and when trying to fire it, it was the same symptom. Still pushes a ton of white out when it initially fires just for a second...
Now here is something else that is kinda odd... Say I crank for 5 seconds, turn the key off and then immediately back on it will fire right up... Thought that was odd and the only reason I noticed it was one of the guys told me thats how he gets it to start quick in the mornings....
So right now I'm at a tin nut for the resolution otherwise I am lost...
Well until I can afford AE to scan looks like this truck will be going into the only trusted mechanic I have to get scanned on startup... I'll check the tin nut and other than that I don't know what else to really look for or test.
