I have a 1990 f-150 2wd, the problem is when I turn the steering wheel to the right the power steering doesn't work, but when I turn to the left it works fine, I have already replaced the power steering pump but it did not solve the problem nothing is bent or binding, the tires have the correct air pressure and if I jack the front end up in the air everything work fine. I read a post that was posted in feb 02 someone had the same problem ,but it did not say how they fixed it.help steve team 5150
I would think from my experience that you may have a power steering box problem. I have seen this before. It may be in the valve that works the fluid. This box being the recirculating ball style can cause this. Please make sure that you have checked everything else out and it sounds like you have.
