I Have A 1987 Bronco With A 5.0, 12" Lift, And 38" Tires. Im Assuming It Has Stock Gearing Because It Is So Gutless And I Mean GUTLESS, Every Thing Under The Hood Is Stock Any Gearing Suggestions? Also I Have Never Ownd A 5.0, Any Must Haves To Gain A Bit Of Power? I Hear These Motors Have Great Potential Any Help Would Be Much appreciated Thank You! And Sorry For Every Word Begging With A Cap My Phone Dose This On Every Forum.
Is that truck carbed or EFI? There is a ton of potential in there but it will take a cam change and a full exhaust system with headers to see any of it, if you retain EFI get a Crane 444232 cam and lifter set but if it's been converted to carb the Comp 35-234-3 is a better choice.
The ideal stock gearing for a 5.0 truck with stock sized tires is 3.73 to 4.10 so with 38's you should be looking at 5.30's for sure.

oh Wow Really I Was Thinking About Getting 4:10'S And I Was Thinking That Might Has Been To Low, And It Is EFI and Also How Is The Reliability These Engines.

No.. not even close. Uncorked this motor makes a ton more power but it's all above 2500rpm which is about where your stock motor peaks right now, so you need a LOT more gearing to work with that kind of powerband.

Very good.. a well maintained engine should have no problem going 2-300 thousand miles.
