I wired up a new 7 way plug on truck and no power on brake box. Started checking fuses and found 30 amp maxi fuse for trailer charging blown. I think it was Q. Replaced fuse and still not working. Truck has two relays on side of pdist box under hood. Could those cause controller not to work? Led on controller was lighting up green when i got truck. Now nothing. All other trailer related fuses are good on pdist box. any way to check the relays to see if they are good? No lights or brakes or LED on controller. It's tekonsha voyager and looks old enough to be the original controller that came on truck. Help!!
tested relays. alll is good. 12 volts coming in at the connector where controller hooks up. Also found troubleshooting on tekonsha controller. I'm nearly certain my brake wiring is off either at the camper or the truck. I'll guess the truck right now because there were three different sets of brake cables spliced into the harness for the 7way at the rear of the truck. I just picked the longest set to cable up to but I'm betting money that all that is a mess and not getting connection through to 7way so when I'm plugging up camper it is not being recognized. I'm gonna gut all that this weekend and end up with one harness going to 7way. what a pile...
Did you use a test light to check for power at the plug.
I recently added a 7 pin plug to my truck and here is the thread I did for the color wire and what it dose https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-on-truck.html
