1971 Light Switch replacement

Any tips on how to change the headlight switch on a 1971 pickup?

1971 Light Switch replacement

Reach up under the dash and grab the switch. You should feel a small button in about the center opposite of the wires. Push it in and pull the **** straight out of the unit. This will turn your lights on so either disconnect the battery or live with them on for a few minutes. Then unscrew the chrome bezel in the front. They make a special tool for this but careful use of a screwdriver will rotate the bezel off. Then you can drop the switch down below the dash from behind. Loosely reattach the bezel and push the **** back in so the lights are off. Then unplug the wires.
