I'm trying to decide on the best headers for my 1982 e-350 van chasis rv motorhome.
I'm leaning towards the thorley tri-y headers.
What I'm trying to accomplish: I've got leaks at the heads and collectors of the manifolds, I'm betting they are cracked or warped. Also my exhaust system is a single pipe and probably only 2.5 inches which has gotta be chokeing my motor.
System doesn't have cats from the factory thank god.
I posted the same query on another board and got a good recommendation for Hedman headers, though some seem to have bad luck with them. Besides Thorley, I believe Gibson makes headers for a van, but not at all sure. Good luck-- and hopefully you'll get a lot more responses.
Doug thorley the only way to go. I have had them for 5 years on my 73 f100 460 with out any problems. Have not had to change a header or collector gasket since they were installed.
