I'm wanting to add a dock and play satelight radio to an excursion when I can find a good excursion. So my question is there a auxiliary input on thee oem radio?

I have dealer installed xm on my truck, but it died. now I have sirius on the dash, with it's fm broadcaster, and my radio picks it right up clear as a bell. You don't need to modify anything.

As you now know there is no stock aux in. I installed a Motorola TK30 to get Bluetooth hands free. It also gives me aux in on a 1/8" and a usb. TK30 is about 170. Excursion specific harness for it is about another 30.
I'm happy with the mod.
I've used fm modulators and have not been happy with them: your mileage may vary. The rig described above is hardwired: no modulator.
It does not block the factory antenna, it passes the signal through. It only blocks when it is active and being powered off of the Sirius dock.
If you live in a metro area with a lot of radio stations you do need an adapter to block bleed over, as the fm transmitters in the satellite radios have been weakened due to FCC regulations. Also the sound quality using the adapter is far superior.
Adding a aux in adapter is only possible when the RSE plug/ changer control is not being used Most excursions this is already filled so I did not suggest it.
I had one like that with the aftermarket video system that came with my Excursion, it worked too. You could also plug other things into that like ipods etc.
I literally have that one installed in my Ex. It does a pretty good job, especially for the price. The audio quality could be slightly better - I hear static, and if it's on and there is no audio playing and it's turned up, I'll hear some hum (but that could be my fault).
My kids use it and they think it sounds great so to each their own. If I didn't have the rear DVD that the kids use I would get an aftermarket Head unit in a heartbeat instead of any stop-gap fm-modulator or in-line bluetooth setup.
