High fuel pressure "reading" on gauge

Hey guys, I noticed yesterday that my fuel pressure was up to 75 when it's normally between 60-65. My first thought was that there was a pinched return line. I turned the key on and left it till the pump turned off and watched it drop. Dropped just as quickly as before, but it stopped at about 12 psi.

So I'm thinking the gauge is just off a bit. When the key comes on it does go down to zero then buck up like it is supposed to. Any thoughts, or do I call Clay and decide on a gauge or new sender?

Jeff, I had a fuel pressure issue like yours which turned out to be the Isspro sender. Mike at Isspro sent me another and it was fine. You can switch the plugs to the fuel and boost gauges to see if the difference follows as they use the same sending units. Keep in mind though that mine are Isspro performax. It confirms if its the sender or not. By the way, Isspro sent out the sender free of charge. Oh and one more thing. Mine continued to climb till it maxed out the gauge. It took a while though.
Jim.

Isspro has replaced two fuel pressure senders for me, first was through Clay, dealt with them directly the second time. The senders are made in the USA but Isspro does not make them in-house.

Got a new sender in from Clay last week. It was considerably different than the one that came with it. The original was the same as the boost sensor, this one was shaped completely different. Anyway, 4wheeling79 was kind enough to let me come over and change it there and the pressure is back down to normal readings. Just wanted to confirm that for anyone following, or reading in the future.
