seat bracket

Will a captian seat from a 1996 f250 fit on a bracket from a 1980 year. I really like the seats from the earlier models. And I have them in my truck now the 1996 seats. But the auto wrecker only has the older style seats. And my drivers seat bracket is broken.

What do you mean by captains chair?

I will assume you mean bucket seats in a super cab

And do you have a super cab? Assuming you DO

the seat SHOULD fit on the 80 bracket, but why not go with the 96 bracket?
