I don't know about an 1886 F250, but it sounds like a decent deal for a 1986! I don't know if you're wanting it to go mudding in, which is the only reason to have a 6" suspension lift and 38.5" super swampers, but the 6.9L diesel is a pretty weak engine, as far as diesel standards go. But they're reliable, and it sounds like the truck is pretty darn straight for being 17 years old. Have you driven it yet? For 6K, it should be running really well when you buy it, with very minimal work.
I have no had the chance to drive it yet. But from what he tells me he can, in his words "light up the tires." I know it is a weak diesel. But diesel is what is desired...Should I try and talk him down some?
yeah a super cab long bed diesel isnt great for mudding but good daily driver. hey if it runs good with no sterring problems or rub 5500. sounds like a good deal great all around trucks.
