The weather is a lot different in Louisiana than Alaska. If I find a good wood stove I will put it in. I can burn hardwood scrap in it.

Well here are some more pics....the 2nd to last in the corner pic is the back side support inside my compressor/store room. That way I had more room width wise to work with in the back. It was no fun getting that 6" square pipe thru that hole by hand, by myself.

I used the 4" I beam as a cross piece to support the 24'. After we got the 24' in place, we walked the 4" I beam up 2 ladders and placed it under the 24'x6".

Yes I would of rather used as a top support, so I had full run of the 24', but when working by hand/block and tackle/cable come-along/ratchet strap you do what is some what more easier.

I unloaded a complete 460 with trans and xfer case (under the blue tarp) and even right in the middle of the long span it did not bow one bit. Well maybe just a little....

I plan to concrete the 2 end bays someday. And put in a pit, maybe.

And since we are on the subject of lifting....here is my mobile device. I can push it around and its wide enough to fit around a Ford front end, with room to spare.

It even will fit on my 16" utility trailer still assembled. I can load if by myself, but 2 folks sure makes it easier.

Looking good, OSB in the rain...bummer, good thing it is not T&G. But if it was and swelled, you can use dish soap and it will slid right together.

Did you use 2x4's as pearling strips? Why not nail right to the bottom of your rafters?

My rafters are on 5 ft centers. I added a joist between them. The strips are to save on osb. It was a light rain. I will bring it in in the morning. Its waterproof osb anyway. It will be okay. The insulation is on the pearling strips. I have 6&1/2inches in the ceiling & walls. R19.

We got the osb on the ceiling. I plan to paint it next & put the lights up. We have been using 500 watt halogen lights. They are blinding. I have 6 four ft double bulb fluorescent units for my lighting. I may add a unit over some tools but I doubt it will be needed. I had 4 four ft units in for temporary lights. They did real good so 6 should be plenty. Having the ceiling white will help. I will post pics
of my progress soon. My osb has imprints of bolts, washers, nuts & drill bits in every piece. It looks like someone spilled a handfull of bolts on the conveyer belt.

I have the lights up & the ceiling painted. I had 2 fives of white paint that I had forgotten I had. It's Lowes best interior latex with the primer in it. One coat did the job. I have a five left for the walls.

Thanks Rich. Its a slow go working alone but the savings allow me to deck it out with the insulation & storage. I plan to build storage under the out feed shelves for my planner, sander & radial arm saw. I will do the same under my table saw extensions & assembly table. Its smaller than I wanted but if I use the space right it will do. I will build a lean too on the side to store lumber & supplies. Its coming along real good. It heats easy. A 115,000 btu heater gets it hot in about 10 minutes. I will take new pics this week.
