I actually just got my set of headers and new y-pipe in today. They are Bassani equalength headers and a bassani high flow stainless y pipe w/cat(3 in outlet). I should have them on tomorrow. I let ya know what i think of them.
Well installed them on my truck this weekend and Damn it sounds good. I seemed to have gain back some low end touque too!!!! I would get some sound bytes and some pics for ya if ya want.
I know yours is a 5.8L but i believe they have headers and y-pipe for it too
They are very easy to install too.....Very very pleased with the setup!!!

Great. I'll have to find out if they have them for a 5.8 now. Haven't had much luck since most manufacturers I have contacted don't list a 97 with a 5.8 and are not sure if they are the same for a 96. I'm sure they are so we'll see.
I also have Bassani headers on my 5.8. I opted for their ceramic coating (I also have their Y pipe and catback). They are high quality. Yes, the 97 is the same as the 96. It wouldnt make any sense for an automaker to alter an engine on its very last year. I had to notch the flange on my headers to fit a plug socket in (the plugs fit, but they were too close to the flange for my comfort). You should check out http://www.proficientperformance.com/ . That is where I bought mine, and they seem to have some of the best pricing I could find.

It will be the same 97's were just carry over from 96. Oh, and check these out: Summit truck headers
