This just another idea I've juggled around but I'm a HUGE 18 wheeler lover and would like to put a set rims similar to what the front rims on an 18 wheeler look like, BUT (that's the kicker) I don't want to be running 22.5"-24.5" rims on my truck nor put adapters and a lift on it. Would it be possible for me to run with front rims off a dually all the way around my truck?
If you have the opportunity, take the front rim off a dually pickup or any dually type truck. You will find this huge hub assembly sticking way out beyond the disc brakes. That's what it takes, these dually hubs to put dually rims on your truck.
That deep inset dish you see in the back on a dually pickup or truck; That deep dish is turned around to the rear on the front, so you need that hub assembly sticking way out to make it fit.
Here's a set for a GM truck, the Ford ones look similiar.
I figured as much ill probably just find some bullet hole rims, maybe put wagon wheels on it. I'd love to find some turbine rims in 16" but haven't seen any only ones I've found either have a 5 lug pattern and/or in 16.5".
Ya but I think they require an adapter, Mickey Thompson makes a rim that comes in 8 lug and the lug cover makes it look like its a 10 lug pretty cool lookin
