T-19 swap

I have the chance to get a T-19 and all the swap goodies for a reasonable price. I will have a nice C6 to sell off after to recoup some of the swap funds as well. So to sum up, would a T-19 be a good swap to do? Should I pick up an mpg or two or free up some power?

C6 to T19. If you are mostly highway, you might pickup .5 MPG or so.
Mostly city, you may even lose MPG.

Both transmissions are 1:1 in high gear.

Your freed up power will be mostly inaccessible. Do you often shift at maximum RPM with WOT?

When I get feisty I might. I just always thought manual transmissions were worth mpg (look at the difference between a 80s I6 with an auto and a manual, I think it was like 5 mpg highway, without an overdrive). And I do know C6s are the highest power robbing transmissions. Well if it doesn't make a huge mpg difference, maybe I'll just have to decide whether or not I want to row my own gears.

Yeah, that's the close ratio. It's a great transmission but they shift like a truck tranny.

you wont have as much parasitic loss with a manual trans as a C6 has. So "theoretically" you should gain some MPG but not BIG MPG.
